Regulatory complaints & investigation
Recovery is not only about your own money. A well-evidenced complaint to the right regulator can freeze a fraudulent operation, protect others and strengthen your own claim - and it carries more weight coming from a regulated firm.
The right regulator
We identify which body can actually act - the Financial Conduct Authority, the Financial Ombudsman Service, or another - and put the complaint where it will have effect.
Evidenced, not just alleged
Regulators act on evidence. Our complaints are built on the same tracing and forensic work that supports the civil claim, not on assertion alone.
Alongside recovery
Regulatory pressure and civil recovery reinforce each other. We run them together so that each strengthens the other.
How this works
The steps we take
Investigate
We establish what happened and gather the evidence a regulator will require.
Direct
The complaint is aimed at the body with the power to act on it.
Submit
A properly evidenced complaint is prepared and lodged on your behalf.
Follow through
We pursue the response and feed anything useful back into your recovery claim.
Common questions
About regulatory complaints
Is complaining to the FCA the same as going to the police?
No - they are different routes and can run in parallel. We can help you report fraud to Action Fraud or the police as well; regulatory complaints address the financial firms involved, while criminal reporting addresses the offenders.
Think this describes your case?
The case review is free and confidential. We'll give you an honest view of whether recovery is realistic.
