Who we are

City Law Solicitors Ltd (SRA number 8014337), of 318 Old Street,London EC1V 9DR, is the controller of the personal data you provide to us. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZA004811.

What we collect

When you contact us or submit a case review, we collect the details you give us - such as your name, contact details and the information about your case. We use this only to assess and, if instructed, act on your matter.

Why we can use it

We process your data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform our contract with you, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running the firm.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary to act on your matter - for example with courts, counsel, or experts - or where the law requires it. Our case review form delivers your message to the firm by email via a processor acting on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our regulatory obligations. We generally retain client files and the personal data they contain for seven years after your matter concludes, after which they are securely destroyed, unless the law or our regulator requires us to keep them for longer.

Your rights

You have rights over your data, including to access it, correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our legal obligations. To exercise them, contact us atcontact@citylawlondon.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
